First paycheck of the 2008-09 School Year

New teachers and other new employees should see their first partial pay on August 29, 2008 for any hours worked from August 11-15, 2008. All others should see their first paycheck on September 5, 2008 for hours worked between August 16-29, 2008 assuming all paperwork has been submitted by the deadlines.
Please be advised the next pay date after September 5, 2008 is September 26, 2008. This is the only time during the school year when there are three weeks between pay dates. 8/16/08

2009 Open Enrollment begins on October 27, 2008

2009 Open Enrollment for MCPS active employees begins on Monday, October 27, 2008 and ends on November 14, 2008. All changes made during open enrollment are effective January 1, 2009.
Open Enrollment materials will be sent to all school and work locations in October. Links to all of the materials will be posted on the ERSC website as soon as they are available. 8/8/08

Considering retirement in 2009? ERSC will conduct a series of workshops for employees considering retirement within the next two years. Pre-registration is not required to attend the retirement workshops.
