Board of Education Members
President: Christopher S. Barclay - District 4
Mr. Barclay is serving his second term as Board president and has previously served one term as Board of Education vice president. He is a member of the Board's Fiscal Management, Communications and Public Engagement committees.
Vice President: Philip Kauffman
Mr. Kauffman was elected to his second four-year term on November 6, 2012, as an at-large representative. He is the Board's Fiscal Management committee and a member of the Special Populations committees.
Shirley Brandman - At-Large
Ms. Brandman has previously served two terms as Board of Education president, having also served twice as vice president of the Board. She is a member of the Board's Strategic Planning and Policy committees and is the chair of the Special Populations committee.
District 1: Judith Docca
Dr. Docca was elected to her second four-year term on November 2, 2010. She chairs the Board's Communications committee and is a member of the Public Engagement and Special Populations committees.
District 2: Rebecca Smondrowski
Mrs. Smondrowski is serving her first term as a
member of the Board of Education. She is a member of the Board's Policy, Communications, and Public Engagement committees.
District 3: Patricia O'Neill
Mrs. O'Neill was first elected to the Board of Education in 1998. She is chair of the Board's Policy Committee and a member of the Strategic Planning Committee.
District 5: Michael A. Durso
Mr. Durso was elected to his first four-year term on November 2, 2010. He is the chair of the Strategic Planning Committee and a member of the Board's Fiscal Management committee.
Student Member: John Mannes
Mr. Mannes, a senior at Northwest High School, is the 35th student member of the Board of Education. He is a member of the Policy Committee.
