Board of Education Members
President: Shirley Brandman - At-Large
Ms. Brandman has previously served one term as Board of Education president, having also served twice as vice president of the Board. She is a member of the Board's Communications & Public Engagement, Special Populations, and Policy committees.
Vice President: Christopher S. Barclay - District 4
Mr. Barclay has previously served one term as Board of Education vice president and one term as Board president. He is a member of the Board's Fiscal Management and Policy committees.
At-Large: Philip Kauffman
Mr. Kauffman was elected to his first four-year term on November 4, 2008, as an at-large representative. He is a member of the Board's Fiscal Management and Special Populations committees.
District 1: Judith Docca
Dr. Docca was elected to her second four-year term on November 2, 2010. She is a member of the Board's Strategic Planning and Communications & Public Engagement committees.
District 2: Laura Berthiaume
Ms. Berthiaume was elected to her first four-year term on November 4, 2008. She is chair of the Board's Committee on Special Populations.
District 3: Patricia O'Neill
Mrs. O'Neill was first elected to the Board of Education in 1998. She is chair of the Board's Policy Committee and a member of the Strategic Planning Committee.
District 5: Michael A. Durso
Michael A. Durso was elected to his first four-year term on November 2, 2010. He is the chair of the Strategic Planning Committee and a member of the Board's Communications & Public Engagement and Fiscal Management committees.
Student Member: Alan Xie
Mr. Xie, a senior at Richard Montgomery High School, is the 34th student member of the Board of Education. He is a member of the Board's Policy Committee.
