Current Policies for Public Comment
On April 30, 2012, the Board of Education tentatively adopted Policy CNA, Informational Material and Announcements. This policy informs the public and staff about displaying and distributing printed informational materials and announcements in schools.

Individuals who wish to provide comments should respond in writing by May 30, 2012. All responses should be sent to the Office of the Superintendent of Schools, 850 Hungerford Drive, Rockville, Maryland 20850 or to the Board of Education at boe@mcpsmd.org. All responses will be shared with the Board of Education and the Superintendent of Schools.
On March 13, 2012, the Board of Education tentatively adopted Policy CND, School-Related Fund-Raising. This policy provides a framework for school-related fund-raising activities in or on behalf of Montgomery County Public Schools that safeguards instructional time, maximizes the safety of students, supports a common school experience for all students, and includes appropriate accountability provisions.

On February 14, 2012, the Board of Education tentatively adopted Policy BBB, Ethics. This policy seeks to promote the highest level of ethical conduct on the part of all persons associated with Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS). It ensures the highest public confidence in the impartiality and independent judgment of Board of Education members and school employees, and seeks to provide guidance for MCPS personnel concerning ethics-related matters. The updated draft reflects changes in the new ethics laws.
