BOE Approves Budget, Black History Month and Parent Engagement

This week’s edition features the approval by the Board of Education of the $2.13 billion dollar operating budget and issues concerning the Maintenance of Effort penalty and pension funding. Other highlights include Black History Month celebrations, Superintendent Starr’s budget priorities, the Parent Advisory Council and the importance of parent engagement.
