Caregiver support

Navigating work and personal demands can be all the more challenging for those caregiving for a loved one. The EAP offers Caregiver Support designed to provide helpful resources and establish connections among the caregivers within the MCPS community. Speaker presentations are held virtually on a monthly basis. Speakers present on important educational topics related to caring for a loved one. Group members also have the option to connect with one another and share resources via the Microsoft Teams Caregiver Support Group. The Caregiver Support Group is open to MCPS employees, MCPS retirees, and their adult household members. Interested in receiving emails about the Caregiver Support Group?   • September 25, 2024 from 5:00 - 6:00 p.m.: Understanding Alzheimer's and Dementia with the Alzheimer's Association. Learn about the impact of Alzheimer’s, the difference between Alzheimer’s and dementia, Alzheimer’s disease stages and risk factors, current research and treatments available, and Alzheimer’s Association resources. Microsoft Teams Caregiver Support Group Community

The EAP is excited to announce a new platform for Caregiver Support Group members to connect with one another, share caregiving resources, and ask caregiving questions. This platform is on Microsoft Teams.
