Steps to Becoming an Approved Youth Apprentice Sponsor

    Fill Out Form

    Complete the online form for the Maryland Department of Labor to become a Youth Apprenticeship.

    Identify the Occupation Title

    Check the US Department of Labor Apprenticeable Occupations Website to identify the title for the occupations you list on your application. The title on your application must match an apprenticeable occupation.

    Apprenticeship Navigator (AN) will Contact You

    Once you have submitted your online application, the Apprenticeship Navigator (AN) will contact you to set up a meeting to review the full application process.

    Application Review and Approval

    Your application packet will be reviewed by the Maryland Apprenticeship Training Council (MATC) at their bi-monthly meeting. Approvals happen at the meetings and you can begin employment immediately.
