MCPS partners with employers to find talented youth for high demand careers.MCPS trains and supports youth employees for your organization so you can help our talented youth move into careers that support your business.
Offer an Apprenticeship
- Employers are approved as Youth Apprenticeship sponsors through the Maryland Department of Labor.
- Employers are eligible for tax credits for every apprentice.
- Employers pay a high school student 450 hours at minimum wage.
- Benefits:
- Build your talent pipeline.
- Leverage the resources of MCPS to train and support your youth employees.
- Gain recognition as an approved Apprenticeship Maryland employer.

- Internships are paid or unpaid experiences with a sponsor.

- Internships can be in person, virtual or project based.

- Evaluate potential employees before hiring them.
