FMS is generally available as follows:
Saturday through Thursday
Day before a holiday
(for example, the day before Thanksgiving or July 4th)
MCPS employee access to FMS is available from MCPS workstations or through VPN connection only.
On the last work day of each month, several functions of the iProcurement module in the Financial Management System (FMS) are temporarily unavailable to permit the completion of the month-end financial data reconciliation. This interruption begins at 12:00 p.m. (noon) on the last work day of the month and continues until 6:00 a.m. on the following work day. During this time, FMS users are unable to submit requisitions or enter receiving information but are able to generate reports, create journal entries, enter budget revisions, and approve requisitions. This partial system unavailability is in addition to the regularly scheduled maintenance performed every other Sunday.
Every other Sunday, FMS is unavailable for regular hardware maintenance. At times, FMS might be unavailable during the evenings or weekends for non-routine maintenance. If you attempt to access FMS during this time, a message will display indicating that the system is down and when it will be available.
