In this unit, students are introduced to the right-triangle trigonometric ratios of sine, cosine, and tangent, and their applications. Angles and the sine, cosine, and tangent functions are defined in terms of a rotation of a point on the unit circle. The Laws of Sines and Cosines are derived and applied. Vectors are defined in terms of direction and magnitude, and vector sums are computed and applied.
