The Montgomery County Board of Education encourages families, students, staff and community members to take a few minutes to share their thoughts and concerns by completing this online survey. The survey is available in multiple languages, including Spanish, Chinese, French, Portuguese, Korean, Vietnamese and Amharic.

The survey closes April 30 as the Montgomery County Board of Education, with the assistance of search firm Greenwood Asher & Associates, LLC, enters the recruitment phase of the search.

The search for the next leader for Maryland’s largest school district began earlier this month with a series of three community forums. Participants shared their thoughts about MCPS’ strengths, challenges and important characteristics for its leader. A virtual forum took place on April 15.

The input received through the community engagement process contributes to the development of a leadership profile. The profile, which reflects MCPS’ unique needs and priorities, will guide the Board as it progresses through the candidate review process, which is expected to begin in May.

The Board is fully committed to conducting a thorough search until a suitable candidate who meets the leadership profile is selected. Stay informed and engaged throughout the process by visiting the Superintendent Search webpage and following MCPS and the Board on social media.
