The purpose of the addition project is to increase the capacity of North Bethesda Middle School to accommodate projected student enrollment. The current student enrollment is 951 and is projected to be 1,162 by the 2020–2021 school year. The proposed addition will increase the capacity of the school from the current 874 seats to 1,208 seats with a core capacity for 1,200 students. The project consists of an addition of 18-classrooms and support spaces to meet the program needs of the school.
