MCPS Schools Give Back and Give Thanks Ahead of Fall Break

MCPS students and staff are spending the days before Thanksgiving break celebrating, serving and giving back to their local communities.

Walter Johnson High School welcomed nearly 150 senior citizens for a Thanksgiving feast on Nov. 16. It was the first time since 2019 that the school held its annual Senior Citizens Luncheon. The event came complete with a traditional turkey dinner and all the trimmings, served by students, a performace, and dancing. The guests were from senior centers and senior living facilities in the area.
