Report Cards for Elementary Schools

Starting Fall 2020, all report cards are being posted in ParentVUE. If parents have an active ParentVUE account, they will not receive a mailed copy. If they do not have an active account, they will receive a mailed copy. For information on ParentVue, please click HERE

MCPS has revised its report card and grading scale for the upcoming 2017-18 school year. The revisions are designed to more clearly convey student learning and provide additional information about learning skills or work habits. The change reflects input from parents, school staff and community.

What's New?

  • A, B, C, D in Grades 2–5.
  • Kindergarten students will get a report card four times (instead of twice) per year.
  • Includes overall subject grade (in addition to the end-of-year average and measurement topics per marking period).
  • Includes reporting of key learning skills.

Due to the anticipated reduced amount of instruction time in the blended virtual model or the virtual model, MCPS teachers will focus on prioritizing instruction aligned to the curriculum pacing guides and content standards as they develop plans for the 2020-2021 school year. For questions on which topics are being taught in a specific marking period, please contact your teacher.
