Central Placement Unit
Central Placement Unit coordinates and monitors the placement of students with disabilities into and out of intensive special education programs through the Individualized Education Program (IEP) team at the Central level.
What We Do
We provide case management for students in nonpublic programs. This includes participating in and monitoring the development and implementation of the Individualized Education Program (IEP), monitoring the quality of instructional programs in nonpublic placements and ensuring that services are delivered in compliance with mandated procedures. Our unit also provides accountability for tuition funds for nonpublic placements and monitors the cost of those programs.
