Blended Learning Courses

Registering for the MCPS blended learning courses (Honors Comprehensive Health Education, Foundations of Technology A/B, and Foundations of Computer Science A/B) is a multi-step process. The Student Online Learning office provides information about the MCPS registration process below. 2020 Season Registration Status Details
Summer Closed Registration will begin on April 20, 2020 at 9am. Forms will not be available until that time.



Basic Steps for Registration

  1. Complete Google Form
    1. Registration is CLOSED

    2. Read Enrollment Confirmation Email from noreply@mcpsmd.net.
      • Registrations may take up to three weeks to process.
      • Enrollment Confirmation email contains payment instructions, section name, start and end dates of course, and the location and times for mandatory face-to-face classes, and if applicable, mandatory web conferences. Verify that you are able to attend the entirety of all face-to-face classes and, if applicable, all web conferences.
  2. Make Payment
    1. Choose Payment Option.
      • Option #1: Mail or hand-deliver a check or money order with the Enrollment Confirmation email to the Student Online Learning office.
      • Option #2: Submit an online payment (MasterCard or Visa) after receiving enrollment confirmation. The Enrollment Confirmation email will contain instructions for submitting an online payment. Do not submit payment until enrollment is confirmed.
      • The Student Online Learning office must receive your payment within ten business days of enrollment confirmation. Failure to provide payment may result in being withdrawn from the course.

Next Step:

  • Wait for Course to Start
    • Approximately one week before the course begins, the teacher for your online course will contact you via email with important information and instructions for accessing the online classroom.

Students are registered in the order that the completed forms are received by the Student Online Learning office.


AP Courses/Third Party Vendors

Registering for the online AP courses/third party vendor courses involves the following steps:

  1. Discuss the AP course's eligibility requirements with a guidance counselor.
  2. Complete the Google Form Online Advanced Placement Pre-registration Approval Form. The online AP courses offered are courses approved by MCPS and MSDE.
  3. Obtain the required signatures on the form.
  4. Submit the completed form with signatures to the Student Online Learning office.
  5. The Student Online Learning office will email you instructions for enrolling in AP course(s).
  6. Enroll in the AP course(s) through the vendor and pay the vendor directly.

Online Pathway to Graduation Program

Registering for the Online Pathway to Graduation program involves the following steps:

  1. Contact a counselor at your high school.
  2. Complete registration with your counselor.
  3. Submit payment, if applicable, to the Student Online Learning office.
  4. You will be contacted by the Student Online Learning office with an orientation start date.
