The purpose of the addition project is to increase the capacity of Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School to accommodate projected student enrollment. The current student enrollment is 1,989 students and is projected to be 2,367 students by the 2020-2021 school year. The proposed addition will increase the capacity of the school from the current 1,683 students to 2,398 students with a core capacity for 2,400 students. The project consists of an addition of 34 classrooms and support spaces to meet the program needs of the school.
