Extended Learning Opportunities-Summer Adventures in Learning (ELO SAIL)
Extended Learning Opportunities Summer Adventures in Learning (ELO SAIL) is a five-week summer program available to rising K–5 students enrolled in Title I schools for the 2022–2023 school year. ELO SAIL will be offered in-person at your child's Title I school of enrollment. Your school will provide more information in the coming weeks as Montgomery County Public Schools finalizes plans for the summer.
All schools will have a 4.5 hour student day and schedules vary by school. Students will engage in hands-on, exciting and enriching literacy, mathematics, and science or STEM instruction, as well as participate in social emotional learning. ELO SAIL provides a high-quality learning experience to prepare students for the start of the school year. This program is provided to students enrolled in Title I schools free of charge.
Any MCPS family interested in registering their school-aged child should follow the steps below:
Staffing allocations for ELO will include clerical support staff members, paraeducators, and teachers. Staff members interested in employment opportunities are encouraged to visit MCPS Careers starting March 4th. Principals may begin extending employment offers starting on March 11th.
Thank you for your interest in serving as a student volunteer
during ELO. Interest was very high this year and we have filled all of the ELO
