Transportation Support Services Unit
This unit provides scheduling and routing services to the depots and for county wide programs. In addition, support for network systems is provided to the transportation department by staff within this unit.

Fleet Maintenance has five facilities at transportation depots strategically located throughout the county. Around-the-clock maintenance ensures safe and dependable transportation for students. This unit services 1,264 buses and other vehicles totaling over 1,450. Fleet Maintenance is a full service repair unit which includes authorized warranty repair, body repair, and fuel distribution.

Safety and Training Unit
The MCPS Transportation training unit conducts training in all phases of school bus driving, safety, and first aid.
