"My memories of high school are of having long straight hair. I always worried too much about my grades, too!" Mrs. Fox was also a member of the cheerleading squad, National Honor Society and the Keyettes Service Club. She had a crush on a football player but ended up dating the captain of the basketball team. She traveled to France with her French class for Spring Break as a 10th grader. Her favorite novels were Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger and A Day in the Life of Ivan Denesovitch by Solzhenytsyn. She most admires her mother because "she has lived her life to the fullest with cheerfulness, grace and humor...and she has never stopped learning. She makes 80 years old look beautiful!" About teaching and working with ESOL students, she remarks,"I love watching children learn language and I love being a part of that fascinating process." 

Mrs. Fox is the ESOL Resource Teacher and she teaches ESOL METS 1 & METS Reading.

 

     

 

 M. Wang"I was serious and hardworking," Ms. Wang describes herself as a high school student. She was most interested in English, social studies and music. Her favorite book is The Road Less Traveled by Scott Peck. She most admires Su Tung Po, a great poet and statesman. She loves ESOL because "...I enjoy teaching students from different cultures since the experience has enriched my life!"

Ms. Wang teaches ESOL 4, Academic Language and Basic Reading. 

 

 

 

 

 

M. Textoris

Did you know that Mr. Textoris played basketball and was in the Ski Club when he was in high school? Also he says that as a student, he most looked forward to the weekends and graduation.His favorite authors are John UpdikeAnthony Burgess and Jim Harrison. One person he really respects is Martin Luther King, Jr. because of his ability to make peaceful changes. About teaching ESOL, he tells us, "Everyday is different. Teachers can learn from the students."

Mr. Textoris teaches Modern World History, ESOL U.S. History and ESOL 5. Also he is the sponsor of the Africa United Club.
