College On-the-Spot Admissions Event Set for Jan. 11

High school seniors will have the opportunity to participate in the final regional on-the-spot college admissions event sponsored by the MCPS Central Office School Counselors Department and high school career and college information coordinators from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 11 at Seneca Valley High School. 

Schools participating in this event include: Coppin State University, Heidelberg University, Hood College, Stevenson University, Trinity Washington University and Washington Adventist University. Montgomery College (MC) will be on site to answer questions and help students who are applying to MC.

More than 315 students have participated in 471 interviews for the on-the-spot admissions so far this year. To date, students have earned 460 scholarships worth nearly $3 million.
