Our Mission

  • Provide leadership development opportunities for young women
  • Establish networks for female leaders
  • Advocate and lobby for issues pertaining to young women
  • Provide opportunities for female leaders to explore career options
  • Engage with allied communities to expand advocacy efforts

  This club/organization is inclusive of all students regardless of sex or gender identity.  


Meetings are scheduled from 6:00–7:30 pm. Some meetings will be held in person at Carver Educational Services Center and some meetings will be held virtually through MCPS Zoom. To learn more and to RSVP to these meetings:

News and Events

 Women's leadership in MCPS were featured in a story on FOX 5. At the EmpowerHer Leadership Forum, Sue Palka of FOX 5 shared her story and encouraged the women to "dream big" and pursue their interests in STEM related fields.



 MoCo EmpowHER co-hosted the 2018 Maryland Women’s Leadership Forum. The event was a huge success!
