The 2019 Choose Respect Montgomery Conference provides middle and high school students with information about healthy and unhealthy relationships, tips to help a friend, and available resources to get help in the event of trauma. MCPS is offering two new programs this year called, "Coaching Boys into Men" and "Athletes as Leaders." These sessions will review strategies, scenarios, and resources used to teach student athletes about healthy and respectful relationships on and off the field.
Hundreds of students and parents attended the 2018 Choose Respect Conference to talk about healthy dating and relationships and to learn ways to prevent teen dating violence. The conference included live music, raffle prizes, concert tickets, trampoline park tickets, gift cards and lots of pizza! Listen to what people had to say about last year's conference.
