Honors and Advanced Placement Course Enrollment 2004–2005

Description:

Compared to last year, enrollment in at least one honors or Advanced Placement course increased for all students and for all groups of students. Additionally, all high schools increased the overall percent of students enrolled in at least one honors or Advanced Placement course. Overall, 67 percent of last year's high school students were enrolled in such courses, representing more than 28,900 students among the system's 24 high schools. The rate of enrollment has continued to increase over the last four years (58 percent in 2000–2001), even as the high school enrollment has grown from 38,000 students to more than 43,300 students last year.
