Unique Features

  • A flexible 425 seat performance space with state of the art theatrical lighting, long throw projector, sound system, sprung wood floors and acoustically designed for multiple performance types.
  • When not in performance mode, the theater is divided with acoustical operable partitions and seats retract to provide three multipurpose performance learning spaces.
  • Interior renovations to the existing chorale and instrumental music rooms raised ceilings and provided improved acoustical performance and isolation of spaces.
  • The building addition is sited along the main corridor of the existing school and placed out front to announce the defining purpose of a creative and performing arts school.
  • Natural daylighting is maximized for student and staff occupied spaces.
  • Highly reflective roof surfaces reduce the heat island effect and heat gain to the building.
  • The addition also includes a standalone dance classroom, mobile mirrors and mobile Ballet Barres allow the space to be quickly reconfigured in different ways allowing for flexibility and functionality of the space.
