Community Meeting Schedule

Damascus High School is about to begin the schematic design phase of a major capital project. Montgomery County Public Schools invites students, staff, families, and community members to participate in upcoming community meetings that will shape the design of the project. This important stage of planning is an opportunity for the community to learn more about the project and provide input as the design moves forward. We will be reviewing: the existing building footprint and school site, project schedule and design/construction milestones, the capital planning and design process, and the education specifications/programming requirements.

• Community Meeting 1: Learn about the Project and Share Your Ideas
• Meet the project team. Learn about the project timeline, program opportunities, and share what matters most to you regarding site access, site program, building location, and the future of Damascus High School.

• Community Meeting 2: Explore Design Options
• Review preliminary design options developed by the architects based on feedback from the first meeting. Share your thoughts and help guide the next stage of design.

• Community Meeting 3: Refine the Design
• Review the evolving design and provide additional feedback. The architects will use input from this meeting, along with project requirements and technical considerations, to develop the finalized schematic design for presentation to the Board of Education.
