Alcohol, Tobacco, and Other Drugs


Maryland State Curriculum Content Standard 2:  Students will demonstrate the ability to use drug knowledge, decision-making skills, and health enhancing strategies to address, the non-use, use, and abuse of medications, alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs.

Performance Indicators

C. Alcohol 
 2.4.C.1.    Identify and examine physical, psychological consequences of alcohol use. 


Differentiate the amount of ethanol in various alcoholic beverages, such as beer, wine, and liquor.


Describe the short- and long-term effects of alcohol use and non-use on the body.
