The MCPS Website is a decentralized mega-site composed of more than 300 minisites for more than 200 schools, 40 offices, and many special programs and initiatives. All of these sites are created by Web Services and maintained by their own webmasters. Most of these sites take different approaches to navigation, page and site structure, and content presentation.
To improve consistency and user experience, the MCPS Web Template was introduced in March 2003 for all non-school Web sites.
All schools and offices using the Tron web publishing system will be migrated to Episerver starting in 2019.
