IMPORTANT NOTICE re Salary Advancement: With the newly ratified and approved negotiated agreements effective July 1, 2018, the lump sum given to educators who receive approved salary lane changes ends June 30, 2018. Salary advancement will continue to be a benefit to educators; however, the lump sum will not.
Therefore, by the June 6, 2018 cut-off date, the original signed Form 475-1, Request for Advanced Salary Placement (no faxes, emails, or photocopies accepted) and all official transcripts required for the review and approval of the lane change, must be received by the Certification Unit. If the educator is eligible for the salary lane change, then the new approved salary lane will be effective on June 23, 2018, and the educator will receive the one-time lump sum payment of $1,200 (based on their FTE) for qualifying for the lane change. The new effective salary lane and the lump sum payment will be reflected in the July 20, 2018 paycheck.
Any requests and/or official documentation for salary advancement received on or after June 7, 2018, will not receive the one-time lump sum payment if approved for the salary lane change.
