Disability Retirement
Montgomery County Public School’s
pension plan provides important disability coverage in the unfortunate event
that an injury or illness permanently incapacitates you from performing your
job duties.
Applying for a disability retirement benefit is a two-step process.
- Apply
for disability. The application forms you submit are dependent upon your core
pension plan membership. Application forms for MCPS core pension plan members
and Maryland State Teachers Pension System (State core plan) members are listed
below.
- Once
approved for disability, complete your retirement forms. Retirement forms are
also dependent upon your core plan membership. See the section of your core
plan below for a link to your retirement forms.
