MCPS Educational Foundation Offering Grants to Support Staff Projects

In Fiscal Year 2026, the MCPS Educational Foundation awarded more than $175,000 in grants to 63 schools and offices, supporting 89 innovative projects designed by MCPS educators and staff. That is more than ever before.

These grants don’t just fund projects — they enhance the core work of MCPS and advance our shared values as a school system: equity, access, innovation, and ensuring every student has the opportunity to succeed. By putting resources directly in the hands of those closest to students, the Foundation helps accelerate the work already happening in classrooms, schools and offices every day.

From classroom-based STEAM projects and literacy initiatives to social-emotional supports, accessibility innovations and career readiness experiences, these grants are helping close opportunity gaps and expand what’s possible for students across the system. Notably, 78% of grants supported schools above the MCPS FARMS average, ensuring resources reach the students who need them most.
