Thinking About Retirement?
In addition to its online recorded webinars, the Employee and Retiree Service Center (ERSC) holds in-person information sessions and forms workshops for employees who are considering retirement within the next two years. ERSC staff are available at these events to answer questions and assist with the retirement process.
Topics for each Retirement Informational Session include a timeline for retirement, eligibility, benefit formulas, leave payout, post-retirement health and life insurance, and taxes.
After deciding to retire and attending a Retirement Informational Session, employees may want to attend a Forms Workshop. During these workshops, ERSC staff members present the required retirement forms, explain how to complete them and answer general questions.
In-person sessions for the second half of the 2023-2024 school year will be held as follows at: Carver Educational Services Center, 850 Hungerford Drive in Rockville.

To register for an Informational Session or Forms Workshop, log in to Professional Development Online (PDO) and search for “Retirement.” Be sure to check the ERSC website prior to attending an event, as dates and times are subject to change.
