Fender Music Foundation
The Fender Music Foundation awards instruments and equipment to eligible music instruction programs. These items are lightly used, blemished, or otherwise imperfect and have been collected from manufacturers and retailers. The organization is currently awarding acoustic guitars, electric guitars, acoustic-electric guitars, bass guitars, and the equipment necessary to play these instruments. Public schools in the United States may apply. To qualify as a music instruction program, participants must be learning how to make music. Participants can be of any age. The Lawrence Foundation
The Lawrence Foundation makes grants to support environmental, human services and other causes although its interests are fairly diverse and may lead into other areas on an occasional basis. We make both program and operating grants and do not have any geographic restrictions on our grants. t Grants are awarded twice a year to organizations that have been designated as 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Public schools and libraries also care eligible for contributions or grants. . Pay careful attention to the list of purposes for which the Lawrence Foundation does not award grants. The Safeway Foundation
The philanthropic arm of grocery-retailer Safeway, supports nonprofit organizations doing work in the areas of : hunger relief, education, health and human services, and assisting people with disabilities. Grants between $10,000 and $25,000are awarded to youth-development organizations as well as a broad range of after-school and physical-education programs. Eligible applicants are tax-exempt nonprofit organizations serving a community where Safeway has a presence. Contact the MCPS grants specialist for information about meeting this criterion.
