8001 Lynbrook Drive
Bethesda, Maryland 20814

The Lynnbrook Center was built in the early 1940s and was home to the Lynnbrook Elementary School. The facility now serves as office space for MCPS programs (school psychologists and the Physical Disabilities Program) and houses a private daycare provider.

Architect:   SEI Architects
Contractor:   Hess Construction
Project Manager:   Rob Badstibner, 240-740-7737

Background

Identified as a site with minimal stormwater management, the Lynnbrook site was considered by the Purple Line as one of many possible off-site stormwater management locations. Although the Maryland Transit Administration did not select the Lynnbrook site for use, MCPS acknowledged that work was required to remediate the run-off issues. As a strategy to achieve stormwater management goals for the Bethesda-Chevy Chase HS project, Lynnbrook was reviewed by the project civil engineers.

The adjoining property is owned by Montgomery Parks.
