The Board of Investment Trustees is responsible for the investment and management of the assets of the Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) retirement and pension plans. Major responsibilities of the trustees include maintenance of the investment policy statement and asset allocation guidelines, performance monitoring, and investment manager selection.
The Board of Investment Trustees consists of 11 members. Two trustees serve by virtue of their positions within MCPS. These ex officio members are the chief operating officer and the chief financial officer. Nine trustees are nominated by the superintendent and are appointed for three-year terms by the Board of Education.
The Board of Investment Trustees meets quarterly, with additional meetings as required.
The Board of Investment Trustees will meet from 8:30 a.m. until noon (unless otherwise noted) in Room 134 of the Carver Educational Services Center, 850 Hungerford Drive, Rockville, MD 20850, on the following dates:
