Matching Needs and Tools to Provide Access to Complex Text

Using data to support our diverse learners in a social studies classroom. This workshop will show how student data can help teachers match tools to meet the demands of the curriculum. Students are empowered through embedding of UDL in the design process. These co-teachers use UDL practices including many technology options which significantly enhance student accessibility and provide multiple pathways for learning new information based on student reflection and needs assessments. The teachers created a classroom that supports building student independence.
