Generation Nano Challenge
Open to High School Students, students submit a written entry explaining a superhero and nanotechnology-driven gear, with a 90-second video OR 1 page comic introducing the superhero and the student's nanotechnology-enabled gear. Submit entries by February 2nd here.

MD Middle School Science Bowl
The Department of Energy's Maryland Regional Middle School Science Bowl (grades 6-8, ages 11-15) will take place Saturday, March 5, 2016. The Middle School Science Bowl seeks to encourage middle school students to expand their knowledge of math and science, expose students to careers relevant to DOE’s mission and raise the visibility of academic achievement in the sciences through a nationally prestigious academic event.
You Be the Chemist
The You Be The Chemist Challenge® is a national, interactive academic contest that focuses on learning of Chemistry concepts and uses the drama of competition to excite grade 5–8 students about science. Participating schools and students have an opportunity to compete in local and state competitions, receive national recognition, scholarships, and prizes.
