Board of Education Members

President: Patricia O'Neill - District 3

Mrs. O'Neill has previously served three terms as Board of Education president, having also served three times as vice president of the Board. She is a member of the Board's Policy and Strategic Planning committees, and is chair of the Policy Committee.

Vice President: Christopher S. Barclay

Mr. Barclay was elected to his first four-year term on November 4, 2008, after being appointed to the Board on December 9, 2006. He is chair of the Board's Fiscal Management Committee and a member of the Policy Committee.

At-Large: Philip Kauffman

Mr. Kauffman was elected to his first four-year term on November 4, 2008, as an at-large representative. He is a member of the Board's Fiscal Management Committee and Committee on Special Populations.

At-Large : Shirley Brandman

Ms. Brandman was elected to her first four-year term on November 7, 2006, as an at-large representative. She is the chair of the Board's Policy Committee and the chair of the Committee on Special Populations.

District 1: Judith Docca

Dr. Docca was elected to her first four-year term on November 7, 2006. She is chair of the Board's Strategic Planning Committee and chair of the Communications & Public Engagement Committee.

District 2: Laura Berthiaume

Ms. Berthiaume was elected to her first four-year term on November 4, 2008. She is a member of the Board's Committee on Special Populations.

District 5: Michael A. Durso

Mr. Durso was appointed by the Board on June 26, 2009. He is a member of the Board's Communications & Public Engagement and Strategic Planning committees.

Student Member: Tim Hwang

Mr. Hwang, a senior at Thomas S. Wootton High School, is the 32nd student member of the Board of Education. He is a member of the Board's Communications & Public Engagement and Policy Committees.
