At its business meeting on April 25, the Board of Education approved the following administrative appointments:

  • Peter O. Moran, Chief of School Support and Well-Being, Office of School Support and Well-Being, Office of the Deputy Superintendent
  • Kelly A. Bean, Supervisor, Secondary Mathematics, Office of Curriculum and Instructional Programs, Office of the Chief Academic Officer, Office of the Deputy Superintendent
  • Daniel Miller, Principal, Ridgeview Middle School

In Memoriam

Shelda Phillip, special education paraeducator at Newport Mill Middle School, died on April 23. She was 52 years old and had more than 22 years of service with MCPS.
