Registration Open for Summer Professional Development

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses for the summer semester are now available for registration through the Professional Development Online (PDO) system. The summer semester runs from July to mid-August.
Teachers have priority registration in all CPD courses. Support staff and substitute teachers may register for CPD courses, on a space-available basis. Individuals in these categories may be moved from registered to the waitlist.
NOTE: If you are changed to a long-term leave status but are still eligible to participate in the course, you will be assessed the additional registration fee (see fee structure on the MCPS CPD website). If you are changed to a long-term leave status prior to the beginning of the course and there are active teachers on the waitlist, then you may be withdrawn from the course to give priority to the active teacher.
The summer CPD courses may be in person, virtual or a combination of the two.
The CPD registration fee will be assessed to permanent employees via payroll deductions after the successful completion of the course. Employees with outstanding balances must clear their accounts before registering for new classes.
