SEIU Members: Student Debt Relief Deadline Extended through April 12

Supporting services employees who incurred personal student loan debt before and after their employment with MCPS may be eligible for assistance to help them pay off student loans.
The Student Debt Fund is available to SEIU Local 500 unit members at MCPS. SEIU has introduced substantial enhancements to the benefits, increasing the provision for debt relief from 5% to up to 10% of yearly student loan debt. This benefit applies to debt accumulated before and after your employment commencement date with MCPS.
Funding can be used to pay for programs at universities, trade schools, training programs and other institutions that provide educational opportunities for supporting services employees to do their jobs.
The application deadline to request financial aid from the Student Debt Relief Fund has been extended to Friday, April 12.
