Support Students by Becoming a Summer RISE Host
Are you interested in sharing your career experience with rising 2024-2025 MCPS high school juniors and seniors? Learn more about how to become a host for the 2024 Summer RISE program!
The Department of Partnerships is seeking businesses, government agencies, higher education institutions and nonprofit organizations to host students this summer for a minimum of 50 hours of in-person, virtual or hybrid experiences. This opportunity will allow students to receive hands-on learning experiences related to their field of interest while informing future college and career decisions.
This year’s Summer RISE program will run between Monday, June 24, and Friday, July 26.
Join previous hosts, newly registered hosts and other prospective organizations at the first Summer RISE Host Summit from 11 a.m.–2 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 30. Attendees will learn about Summer RISE, best practices and how to work with MCPS students and programs beyond Summer RISE. Sign up now for the event and invite a friend/colleague to learn more about the program. If you are unable to attend, but are interested in learning more, you can sign up for an information session.
