National Apprenticeship Week is fast approaching, and MCPS is partnering with Montgomery College, Worksource Montgomery and the Maryland Department of Labor to host two events for students and the business community.

From 1–4 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 13, there will be an information session for employers interested in learning how to hire students. This session will provide valuable insight into the benefits and process for hiring apprentices.

From 10 a.m. until noon on Wednesday, Nov. 15, juniors and seniors from any MCPS high school are invited to attend an apprenticeship job fair. This event will provide an opportunity for students to explore the vocational apprenticeship opportunities available during school and beyond. Representatives from various employers will to provide information and answer questions. Represented employers will include those in the hospitality, finance, medical, property management, technology and construction trades industries.

Both events will take place on the Montgomery College Rockville campus.
