James Laws, bus operator, died on Sept. 18. He was 69 years old and had 11 months of service with MCPS.

Kevin Palafox, teacher at Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School, died on Sept. 30. He was 40 years old and had been with MCPS for more than one year.
