Recognizing Suicide Awareness Prevention Month

September is Suicide Prevention Awareness Month. We all have a role in helping prevent suicide in our communities. The MCPS Employee Assistance Program is here to help. You may call the in-house EAP at 240-740-6500 (8:30 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday–Friday) or our external EAP partner at 866-496-9599 (24/7, 365 days a year). If you or someone you know is experiencing a mental health emergency, call 988, the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, or call 911 immediately.
