Hispanic Heritage Month SSL Opportunity for Students

As part of Hispanic Heritage Month, students are invited to a Zoom conversation with two Telemundo journalists about being a Latino in the television industry. The discussion will be from 6:30–8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 4.

MCPS students have the opportunity to earn two Student Service Learning (SSL) hours for attending a talk with Telemundo 44 anchor Alberto Pimienta and Telemundo community reporter Lilian Mass about working in the TV industry. The pair will discuss reporting in two languages serving different audiences, their toughest stories, and the struggles and triumphs of their careers.
