Thousands Attend Back-to-School Fair

Thousands of MCPS students, parents and community members joined school system staff and community partners on Saturday, Aug. 26, to kick off the 2023-2024 school year at the Back-to-School Fair. At the fair, attendees picked up free materials on MCPS programs and community services, participated in the curriculum by answering math and social studies questions and doing science experiments; enjoyed music, dancing and face painting; created art on spin bikes; picked up fun freebies; and toured an MCPS electric bus and Montgomery County fire trucks.
