Where can I find my child's bus route number?
Information for regular and special education students is available in ParentVUE, StudentVUE, and on the DOT website. Click here for instructions for ParentVUE and StudentVUE.
Because Magnet and Choice students may utilize any central bus stop that's convenient for their family, their schedules are not included in ParentVUE or StudentVUE. Parents are encouraged to review the Magnet school schedules, which can be found here.
How can I find information about a school's bus routes?
Arrival routes are published here. Departure routes are generally the same route number, unless otherwise indicated for a specific stop.
The bus stop that my child has used previously has been eliminated. Why did this happen?
Our DOT team is responsible for designing our bus routes in a manner that ensures the safest and most efficient operation, while maintaining equitable access to services for all students. Our bus routes for all programs are also based on the number of students using the bus stop. Each route is evaluated annually to ensure it meets our criteria for remaining active and conforms to Board policy, MCPS regulations, and the Code of Maryland Regulations. Sometimes routes are eliminated to save valuable resources.
Why don't I see my child's bus route information in ParentVUE?
ParentVUE will not display transportation information for students who are designated as walkers. This includes–
