MCPS Tuition Reimbursement

The Tuition Reimbursement Dropbox TuitionReimbursement@mcpsmd.org will be unavailable from Nov. 24–30 . Messages sent to tuition reimbursement during this period will be queued and delivered to the team on Dec. 1. The tuition reimbursement team will resume access to any emails sent during this time, on Monday, December 1.

MCPS recognizes the necessity for a well-trained, professional workforce. The tuition reimbursement program builds the capacity of schools and offices to function as learning communities to promote and ensure student achievement by increasing employee effectiveness within their current positions or by assisting employees to prepare for other positions within MCPS.

Regulation GMG-RA Tuition Reimbursement and negotiated agreements between the Board of Education and the employee associations representing MCPS employees define the terms of tuition reimbursement.

Permanent, active MCPS employees who work 20 hours or more per week are eligible for tuition reimbursement. All eligible staff may be reimbursed up to nine credits of tuition costs per fiscal year. The fiscal year begins July 1st and goes through June 30th.

Tuition Reimbursement in excess of $5250 in a CALENDAR YEAR is subject to income tax.  Reimbursement total includes tuition paid on your behalf directly to a college or university.
