Please join us to learn about the MCPS elementary immersion programs this Thursday, January 14, 2021 at 6PM.  MCPS offers K-8 immersion programs in three target languages. Partial instruction in Chinese, and full instruction in both French and Spanish.  Students may begin in Kindergarten and can continue through Grade 8.

To learn more about the elementary immersion programs, hear from each school’s lead teacher, and understand the admission process, please view the presentation this Thursday, January 14 at 6 p.m. (English) on the MCPS homepage: https://www.montgomeryschoolsmd.org/ or by visiting: https://youtu.be/Oii5cuM4V6k

MCPS offers Spanish, French, and Chinese elementary immersion programs at seven schools. Some immersion programs are based on geographic location and/or give preference to local school students. Some programs are total immersion, meaning all core subjects are taught in the target language, while others are only partial immersion.

Any student entering grades K–5 in the following school year may participate in the immersion lottery. Students may choose to continue into the feeder middle school immersion program.
