The gifted and talented (GT) identification screening process for the 2023-2024 school year will include all students in grade 2 and students in grades 3, 5, and 7 who are new to MCPS and students who have not previously met the gifted and talented designation. In accordance with Montgomery County Public Schools Regulation IOA-RA, Gifted and Talented Education, and Maryland COMAR 13A.04.07, Gifted and Talented Education, students participate in a screening process for gifted and talented identification.
For more information about the criteria for gifted and talented designation and answers to frequently asked questions, please read:  Understanding the Gifted and Talented Identification Process (2023-2024)

Parents of students in Grades 2, 3, 5, and 7 who are part of the gifted and talented screening or rescreening process were sent a letter in the US Mail and ParentVue on 1/29/24 with information about completing the Parent Input Form.  This form must be completed by February 29, 2024 to be considered in the screening process for the current school year.  (Parent Input Form)
